Beige square basket
Nice and paractical, this square basket can be used to store different things.
The basket is easy to make and can be done in very short time. Depending on the time allocated for making it, it makes a couple of hours/one day project.
It suits very good as a gift. Also, this item is something that can be sold at a craft fair, if you happen to participate in one.
Check out the video tutorial I made for making the mini size of this basket: Mini square basket
Pattern
You will need:
- Cotton yarn: I used Yarnart macrame cotton (753) - (one is enough, not all of it will be used)
- Hook: H / 5.0mm
- Needle (optional) for sewing the inner part
- You can use a stitch marker to track each row
Abbreviations:
- sc - single crochet
- inc - increase (two single crochet in the same stitch)
- 3 same - three single crochet in the same stitch
- hdc - half double crochet
- (..) - represents the sequence that will repeat
- x and number - the number of times to repeat a sequence
- [..] - the number between square brackets is the number of loops at the end of row
Notes:
The finished basked size: 5.5" (14cm) width / 2.75" (7cm) height.
If you use different yarn and hook size than those specified in the pattern, your finished basked will end up with different measurments.
The pattern is written in US terminology.
